"Grab the Flag" Race for Historic Bikes in Rijeka/Croatia 2014

The "Grab the Flag" Races in Grobnik/Rijeka were held on 22 to 24 September. The fascinating ambience of the tracks, the two sensational buffets and the long nights in the pits always make for a wonderful ending of the racing season. There were seven LAVERDA riders on the grid. From Austria: Robert Hirschegger (64), Bernhard Zojer (62), Horst Scheuer (146). From Germany: Armin Schulz (29), Max Kuypers (211). From Switzerland: Peter Strasser (609), Romain Witzig (33).

This time the LAVERDAs seemed to be under a bad spell. Horst Scheuer had to withdraw early from the first race but managed to re-enter in the second race. Robert Hirschegger on his 1200 had to retire after the first race. Peter Strasser unfortunately had to retire both his triples due to technical problems which he didn't quite manage to fix on-site.

Bernhard Zoier improved his personal record in Rijeka by a stunning 9 seconds!
