Hirschi's Workshop

After many years of abstinence from the track now it is time again: Hirschi is building a classic LAVERDA triple racer. A modified serial frame with lowered rear and reinforced swingarm pivot is the basis. A home-made square section swingarm, the M1R forks and the light Campagnolo rims had been working for many years in his tuned 1200. Clip-ons, and Corte e Cosso shocks were lying in the well equipped parts cupboard. A Lockheed main brake cylinder, adjustable between 16 and 19 mm was found at a friend's place. The tuned 1200 engine is already mounted to the frame (1172 ccm, pistons 82mm, C4-camshafts, valves: inlet 41 mm/exhaust 35,5 mm, ports: inlet 40mm/exhaust 38mm). It will inhale through a set of three 40mm Mikuni Flatslide-carburettors and exhale through a Sulzbacher 3 into 1 exhaust system with "megaphone".

Hirschis racer got ready in Sommer 2006. He had his first test-run on the Pannonia-Ring/Hungaria. See him next year at the "Grab-the-flag" races (www.grabtheflag.de).

We will constantly drop by in Hirschi's garage and keep you posted...
